READ THIS BOOK
I don’t normally tell people to read books but this one is so amazing. It saved me. It taught me that there are quieter people and louder people, and that this is due to our brains. The brains of introverts and extroverts work differently. This book made me realise that it is ok for me not to be totally outgoing, because naturally I am an introvert. Our society shows extroversion as being confident, when actually it’s just that you prefer higher stimulation (more things happening) because you are lower-reactive. Introverts are presented as being less confident or not confident, when actually they just prefer less stimulating areas because they are high-reactive. This is in our genes.
I feel like what I’m saying about this book is not as amazing as the book actually is.
But yeah, this book helped me understand myself, it helped me quit self-harm, and this is why I want other people to read it, because it helped me so much and I feel like it could do the same to others.
